Ofsted Outstanding Registered Childminder based in Central Groombridge
Opened in 2023, and based in the centre of Groombridge and under 5 minutes walk from St Thomas' Primary School, I provide childminding services for children in and around the village.
As a Level 3 Qualified Childcare Professional I have been caring for children of all ages for over 10 years both in nursery settings and as a nanny. Most recently I have been the manager of a local village nursery and pre-school.
I am Ofsted Outstanding Registered, Pediatric First Aid trained, Enhanced DBS checked with an extensive knowledge of the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage).
I also hold an NVQ Level 2 in Counselling Skills and an NVQ Level 3 in Counselling Studies.
Having worked in a number of childcare settings during my career, my approach to learning has developed having seen that children thrive when given access to natural resources and the opportunity to explore themselves.
My childminding setting gives children the opportunities to play and discover through natural materials in a home-from-home setting allowing them to explore curiosity through sensory, heuristic and natural play.
They have the choice to play either inside or outdoors in my large garden whenever they wish whatever the weather!
